the one on the left is the 2009 BATCAVE! LIVE SAMPLR and side A features clownbaby live on new year's eve and side B features ahhh (my solo project) live on halloween.

the one on the right is a SPLIT DEMO COMPILATION volume 2! (the sequel to the tape i gave kria brekkan). side A is a split between myself (ahhh) and kian (porus favorus) and side B is me and the beautiful alex-the-girl (kaosskids) with a demo/e.p./thingr called QuaRTZ and is a concept loosely based on the video games Iko & Myst.

overall the night went well, in spite of losing a majority of the bands on the bill... poor talia has some crazy flesh eating virus and mikey burgess of anchor watch caught the flu... bleh. get better ya'll!!!

hey ya'll! here's a little halloween treat samplr of some demos and live recordings and whatever of some of us kids who crowd and surround our little basement

kristin valtysdottir has this particular copy; i randomly felt that i needed to deliver this to her as a token of thanks (it all ties into a dream, i wont go into it cuz it takes too long to explain) She's given us so much so far; they all have. i dunno, i felt like we should start giving back.

born and raised in hyrule as one of the forest children, alex was teleported to the forests of suburban wilmington delaware when shigaru miyamoto got involved with the creation of the famicom 64 in the early 90's. his molecules where then flipped into the time-space dimension, catapulting his essence through the great quantum divide, then wound up here. after traveling about the east coast (baltimore md, centralia pa, and wilmington de) collecting the 7 medallions of the ancients (with the guidance of david wilcock) alex is now in philadelphia in search of ganon's hidden fortress to rescue the princess. and thru the process of it all, some sounds and noises were created.

headlining the evening are brian lavery (slavery w/out the 's') and STOOOOOOOOOOOOPS with breakbeats, techno pulses, rippin samples, david wilcock and electronic boners. in short, if you find that you are unable to DANCE (or even just tap a foot) then something is fatally wrong with you (go see a doctor) and you WILL be ejected from the BATCAVE! by means of unnecessary force.... wait what's an electronic boner?

-the BUNDY PROJECT
lots of horrible tins of things, with holidays if you collect the labels. mashed up marrow bone wobbly things, you kick em under the tables. come in come in bonzo, your dinner's really open. hold the water, half inch deep, with maggots doing the breaststroke. bark a few times, earn your keep; this doggy's life's a big joke. featuring dyehv mcgrory (of playgrounds), andy smalls (of slick mantra) & friends!

what is.... the BATCAVE? a beginner's guidelines

a small d.i.y. performance space for small performance acts to perform their performances, whatever that performance may be... stand up? improv comedy? plays? performance art? film screenings? bands/musical acts? anything of that sort.

a couple a rules:
-no fighting. dancing is not fighting. if you take an arm to the face then word, think of it as a batcave souvenir. just as long as that arm wasnt thrown with an evil intention. be cool but go fuckin nuts; in other words, do what you like but be considerate.
*if you MUST scrap, do it in the street and NOT in my house please
-absolutely no shady shit... the idea of the batcave, in spite of its dark appearance, is an idea of justice, equality, unity, awesomenes, music, art, and inclusion... everyone is everyone's friend,and if not then at least don't be enemies.
-beer (pbr) will be sold $2 a can.... or $7.25 for unlimited beer. but if you're smashed you get thrown out on ellsworth st. (or tucked into a sleeping bag off in the corner)
-also hot dogs are $1 a dog
-the upstairs is strictly OFF LIMITS... (except for the restroom).
the upper floor belongs to bruce wayne, who is a very important man and doesn't want his shit to be publicly accessible... it's not to be rude or non-inclusive (all the including goes on in the basement-AHEM-batcave) but there IS such a thing as personal space and privacy... if you came to the batcave for such a thing, well, thats retarded- why'd you leave you're own home to have privacy? dont make much sense....
-whether you're arriving or departing, only have in your possession what actually belongs to JUST YOU.
but everyone who's been to kindergarten should fucking know that already....
and if you didnt go to kindergarten you know now. :)
-also, if you have rude comments or anything, feel free to express them... but also realize if you offend any of the performers they have total existential rights to throw down and give you beatings (in the street). also if you truly hate the performances then why the fuck are you even here? just be considerate. if you have negative comments you wish the express the preferred method of hate is to email us at apartment421@gmail.com
-we do have jason who is our secret weapon/bouncer and a boxer (and a good one at that) so if shit goes down, he will be that guy grabbing you by your shirts and escorting you out and onto the streets. sorry, but we have to maintain some sort of order.
